Outreach: Love and Service

Service. This is a mandate of our mission or purpose as a Christian community in the Presbyterian tradition.

Thus, Southminster fosters activities and attitudes in our congregation that emphasize God’s call to us to make a difference in the world through serving others and by reminding others of God’s offer of salvation through Jesus Christ.

How is God calling you to serve or volunteer? Contact us if you’d like to get involved. Also, be sure to check out our Volunteer Events and Volunteer Board..

Here are just a few of our recent outreach projects:

  • Preparing monthly meals for the Hope Center

  • Growing produce for the Food for the Journey initiative

  • Distributing snacks and other food through the Blessing Box

  • Building Bed in a Box kits for Pine Ridge Indian Reservation

  • Supporting at working at Maggie’s House on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation.

  • Handing out Halloween candy to trick-or-treaters

  • Being reading partners with Heyer Elementary students
